Welcome to the Teal Sound Drum & Bugle Corps.

You are about to experience and take part in what possibly is the most incredible “ride of a lifetime” as a member of the Teal Sound. The following information is a guide to ensure that you have everything you need to become part of what the vets of the corps now call the “Turquoise Noise”!

1. Request Information. This will add you to our formal mailing list. After submitting your contact information, you will receive all necessary membership information and materials in one helpful packet.
2. Sign up to be on our email list, and encourage your parents to do the same in the VolunTeal/Parents section of the website. After your initial membership mailing, all other communication is done through our email distribution list.
3. Fill out an Application in advance of your attendance and mail to the corps address. Submitting the application in advance will save you considerable time at check-in during early season rehearsal camps
4. Know our calendar as attendance is important. Attending part of the camp is better than not at all. WE support all of your band performances and will excuse you from a rehearsal if it is school related. If you have conflicts, talk to us, we will work with you!

Always Remember - Communication is critical and essential.

The cost for your first rehearsal is $80 and then if you receive a position with the corps the monthly dues will begin.

Following your first rehearsal, you will receive notification from us that will be as follows:

1. TEAL Team - an offer of membership,
2. BLACK Team - a recall for a second and final audition, or
3. GRAY Team - a suggestion that you try again next year.

If you aren’t sure that you are ready to march in a drum & bugle corps, and you’re not certain you should spend the money to travel to audition for us, then we suggest that you might want to do a Pre-Audition Evaluation on video! Submit your video, and the caption head of your particular instrument or guard equipment will review it and give you feedback on your abilities, what to work on, and an honest assessment of where you would stand if you audition. The fee is $25, and you will get this back as a credit on your camp fee if you attend.

Try at least one weekend before deciding whether you want to march with the Teal Sound. We promise you it will be the “The Ride of a Lifetime” and will forever burn deep memories in your mind and friends in your heart!
